Car punctures have the terrible manners of occurring just when we least expect them to; in the middle of a journey, or worse, in a remote area that’s far from professional tyre fitters like TyreServ. At such times, you have to literally take matters into your own hands and save the day. Yet, it’s never an easy or simple task. This is especially so if you happen to have no tools, or are lacking a spare wheel; you’ll need a bit of experience and expertise to get the job done. At TyreServ, we like emphasizing to our clients on the need to have basic skills on dealing with car punctures when not near us. Check out the quick guide below on just how to go about it;
Type of puncture; first and foremost, you’ll need to identify the nature of the puncture, and just how severe it is. For instance, if the tyre has been punctured on the sidewall chances of having it repaired are narrow. This one calls for a spare tyre and it’ll be risky if you don’t have one. During such moments, we recommend that you inform us immediately so we can make arrangements on helping you out. However, small punctures or small holes can be easily repaired even if temporarily, before you reach to our center.
Tools for the repair; for a smooth repair, you will need the right tools for the job. You’ll require a repair kit which should be fully equipped; think of items like puncture repair cords, sealant, lubricant, reamer tools and rasp tools, to mention but a few.
Temporary repairing; for a temporary repair, you can start by removing what caused the puncture; it could be stone or nail. Using the reamer tool, ream the puncture so as to expand the cut or hole. Next, flatten a section of the repair cord for insertion in the expanded cut or hole. You’ll then need to cover the repair cord with a sealant and plug the cord on the puncture using the rasp tool. Pull out the rasp tool and let the sealant dry and cut off the excess cord. You can then pump correct pressure to your tyre and you are good to go. However, you may need to take the tyre for check up or even replacement at our tyre center afterwards, just to be sure that all is safe and well.
Many people have recently asked whether is photography still an art form.
To answer this question we have to first ask our self what is photography and how it has started. Photography was created in 19 century first as a tool called camera obscura that has helped painters to paint more precisely. Later on, people have created way how to capture the image on negative and thus produce pictures.
Photographers back then however focused solely on artistic photos as the photo quality was still really bad and they could not create, let’s say commercial photography with the equipment that they had.
So photos back in the day were just art, but why?
The other reason why photos were only art is because photographers would pay a great amount of money, therefore they would make sure that the photographed screen looks perfect. If they took a picture of something that was not good, they would just waste their money, and that’s the reason why many old pictures are still considered the best art peace that we have.
It was once an art form, and it is still and art form, even though that today’s photographers can do much more with their equipment. For example, back in the day photographers could never take a sharp picture and then use it as a material for a business owner, that’s why you could not find a great commercial photographer back then.
The other thing that makes people say that photography it is not an art form is the fact that everyone can take a picture and most of the pictures are far from good. That, however, doesn’t mean that great photographers do not exist. You just have to look at the right places.
